In 2007 when I were just 14yrs old and in year 10 of secondary school, I had to decide what I wanted to do for work experience.
Of course my first choice was in photography but my school decided otherwise and chose to place me in our schools canteen cleaning tables for the work experience week...!
Lucky for me, Mum was having none of that so she very insistantly stated this to my school and she got to work on finding me a suitable placement herself.
After many dozens of calls she managed to find me a weeks work experience at our local RAF base in their photography studio which I thoroughly enjoyed. In the week I was there I learnt so much and the staff were all very pleased with my natural eye for photography, my willingness to learn and my progress.
More recently I were invited along to another RAF base for a visit of the site. This isn't local to me, its perhaps 1-2hrs away from where I live but the ride down there was well worth it as I managed to re-live my work experience days all over again only this time I wasn't doing any work in the studio. Instead I was simply allowed to tour the site with camera in hand. A wonderful day with the flexibility to take snaps of whatever I liked.
Here are just a few select pictures of what I saw on the day.
